Working Alongside Technetix to Achieve Our Sustainability Goals
Technetix recognised the significant waste generated by the exhibition industry and took action by pledging in 2023 to be more sustainable, aiming to eliminate single-use materials in their exhibition stand components and construction methods.
Modular Exhibition Stands
To achieve this, they opted for a modular design. As well as supporting a companies sustainability goals, modular exhibition stands have many benefits:
- Tailor-made design
- Ease of transport
- Cost-effective
- Eco-friendly
At the start of 2024, the CXGlobal team aimed to enhance our sustainability efforts as exhibition stand builders. We had already implemented the reuse of stand elements, stored stands for future use, and upgraded our vehicles to Euro 6 standards. However, we aspired to do even more, which led to the establishment of CXModular, a modular exhibition stand company that provides clients with a more sustainable alternative.
Therefore, when our long-standing client Techentix came to us with their sustainability goals we were able to align with their needs. We showcased two Technetix modular stands at both Connected Britain events last year and this was followed with Technetix showcasing another modular stand at Network X in Paris Port De Versailles in October.
We were thrilled to receive a ‘Gold’ Rating from the Better Stands Assessment, which evaluates whether the following ten elements of a stand build have been reused or recycled:
- Stand structure and walls
- Platform or raised flooring
- Furniture and equipment
- Lighting
- Fascia and overhead signage
- Rigged structure
- Ceiling
- Display facilities
- Floor covering
- Graphic and decorative items
Better Stands described the award as recognition for being part of a group dedicated to building sustainably, stating, “Gold is a rating we only see among the most forward-thinking and pioneering.”
We are immensely proud to have received a gold rating, showcasing our commitment to sustainability. And we are looking forward to continuing our focus on sustainability alongside Technetix this year!
